Built between 1465-1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, Topkapi Palace Museum served as the residence and administrative center of Ottoman sultans for 400 years. Today, the Topkapi Palace Museum is one of Istanbul's most visited historical sites, welcoming millions of visitors annually.
